Meet Miranda •

Our resident patient advocate, Miranda Couture, is here to guide you through your healthcare journey. Driven by a deep passion for helping patients navigate the complexities of EDS and other conditions, she is currently working toward becoming a Board-Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) to further deepen her skills.

With a background in public health (B.A.) and education (M.Ed.), Miranda has gained a strong foundation in understanding health systems and communication strategies that promote better outcomes for patients. Her approach is grounded in active listening, empathy, and a genuine desire to understand your unique needs. She believes in meeting you where you are, offering support with compassion, and ensuring your voice is heard.

Beyond her professional goals, Miranda finds balance and joy in hiking, foraging, studying naturopathic medicine, diving into foreign languages, exploring different cultures, and learning in all its forms.

  • This 90-minute session provides an in-depth exploration of your healthcare experiences and advocacy needs. Following the consultation, we will recommend one of our tailored patient advocacy memberships or packages, ensuring you receive personalized support aligned with the complexities of your case and specific requirements.

    Investment: $325

  • Recommended for those managing care with up to two specialists.

    This tier is ideal for individuals who need foundational support in organizing their healthcare journey. You’ll receive guidance and assistance with:

    • Appointment scheduling and coordination with up to two specialists

    • Preparing for medical visits, including questions to ask your provider

    • Requesting and organizing medical records

    • Basic insurance navigation, such as verifying coverage for appointments

    • Finding specialists or resources that align with your condition(s)

    • Advocacy in provider communications, such as requesting referrals or follow-ups

    Investment: $495/mo (3 month commitment)

  • For those with more complex medical needs, this level of support includes everything in Essential Advocacy, plus:

    • Coordinating care between multiple specialists to ensure seamless communication

    • Insurance support, including appeals, pre-authorizations, and claims issues

    • Tracking symptoms and treatments to improve medical decision-making

    • Researching treatment options, clinical trials, or specialized providers

    • Assistance with disability accommodations, including work/school support

    • Personalized health action planning to help you take control of your care

    Investment: $995/mo (3 month commitment)

  • Recommended for highly complex cases requiring tailored, ongoing advocacy.

    For those managing highly specialized or complex medical conditions, our Concierge Advocacy service provides a fully customized level of support. This includes all the benefits of Comprehensive Advocacy, plus:

    • In-depth case management for rare or multi-system conditions

    • More extensive provider coordination, including complex treatment plans

    • Advanced insurance negotiations, including assistance with denials and disability claims

    • Support for legal/medical documentation needs (such as disability paperwork)

    • Custom health navigation services based on your unique circumstances

    Concierge Advocacy is quoted individually based on your needs, ensuring that you get the right level of support for your healthcare journey.

Our Flexible Advocacy Package allows you to purchase 1-10 hours of dedicated support at our standard rate of $150/hour, to be used within three months.
